General
Do I need to book for the full season?
Nope! If you only want one or two treatments simply book a month or two of service.
What kind of fertilizer do you use?
We use a commercial grade, slow-release, granular fertilizer. We change the ratio of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium based on where we are in the season.
In the spring we use a high Nitrogen mix to refresh the lawn quickly, and at the end of the season the mix is tuned to provide your grass with the nutrients it needs before going dormant.
Does herbicide work on all weeds?
Our herbicide targets all broad-leaf weeds, such as dandelions. Unfortunately this formula does not work on grass-like weeds, such as crab grass, because they are too similar to the grass that makes up your lawn.
When should I water my lawn after the treatment?
It's best not to water the day of your treatment so the herbicide has a chance to dry.
However, the fertilizer needs to be watered in for best results, so we recommend watering your lawn for at least 1 hour the day after your service.
Do I need to stay off the lawn after the service?
We advise staying off the lawn until the liquid herbicide has dried, usually within 2 or 3 hours of your service.
How long does it take to see the effects?
The initial effects of weed killer are normally evident within 7 to 10 days and complete weed control takes 3 to 4 weeks.
As long as you're following a regular watering schedule, the effects of the lawn fertilizer should be noticeable after a week or two.
How often should I water my grass for the best result?
If we aren't getting much rain we recommend watering your lawn for at least 1 hour each week.
If temperatures are consistently above 25° C then it's best to water for 1 hour twice a week.
To avoid wasting water due to evaporation we recommend watering in the evening, around 7 pm.
